Last night, a group of TDS alumni from various local high schools sat on a panel to answer questions from our current 7th and 8th graders. Some of the topics they discussed were making new friends, the workload in high school, and extracurricular activities. One 8th grader commented that this panel was “very helpful.” Many found their advice on how to make friends particularly useful, such as joining and creating clubs, or to try out for fall sports teams. They were especially relieved to hear the alumni report that the transition from TDS to high school was easy for them academically and that they were “well-prepared.”
