Our Lower School students are loving Spanish classes with Maestra Caro, whose enthusiastic spirit and warm smile make her classroom a great place to be!
Where were you on your teaching journey before joining us at TDS?
I was a Spanish teacher in kindergarten, first and second grades at Frank Porter Graham Bilingual Elementary school in Chapel Hill.
What is your favorite thing about TDS so far?
From the first day, all my co-workers have been very kind, patient and collaborative with me. I think it is a place full of light with many special people around.
Family and Pets?
My husband, Josue
My son, Ian (he is in TK -TDS).
Hobbies and Interests?
I like to dance, read psychology or pedagogy books and even a novel, I like to travel and get to know different cultures, I like to spend time with my family.

- I love to dance, the color green, making a lot of friends, going to the movies, and eating a lot of different types of desserts.
Fun Fact:
I spent three years in medical school, but when I had to go into the operating room with my teachers, I fainted and I knew that medicine was not for me.
