What are you waiting for? This week, Lower School students have been pondering this question. Caroline Gobble, our admissions director, visited each classroom and read aloud “Waiting” by KevinHenkes. The award-winning children’s book is about five animal toys that sit in a window and wait for something in particular. Throughout the story, they experience various changes, yet they remain content waiting to see what will happen next. After hearing the story, students discussed experiences they are waiting for, or looking forward to, this year. Then, they decorated a window that illustrated these things. The windows are displayed outside the classrooms, so please make sure you take a look at what your child is waiting for this year! The faculty also completed this activity, and their windows are displayed on the wall outside my office. Talk with your children about things that your family is waiting for this year!
Teachers created windows showing what they are waiting/hoping for this year?
