On Friday night, May 6th, 8th grade students came to the TDS Commons for Mrs. Logan’s annual “Murder Mystery” night. The theme, back by popular demand, was 80s Prom. Students were assigned to specific characters from the 1980s, and were expected to dress the part. As guests arrived and mingled through the prom-themed Commons, they were shocked to discover that many of their classmates had fallen victim to murder – and by one of their fellow alumni! Using clues gathered from the various events of the evening, characters were encouraged to guess the culprit. A big thank you to Mrs. Logan for organizing this fun and entertaining event!

As described by Mrs. Logan, “Murder Mystery night was a monumental success as our super sleuthing eighth graders stepped back in time 1985 to solve a murder. Sounds of the 80s permeated the TDS Commons while students donned their finest decade attire to experience a one-of-a-kind mystery. By night’s end, Jenny Nechyba, Will Norry, Morgan Rogers, and Rory Smith took home the Smoking Gun award by solving the crime. Gabriel Bretherton received the Drama Queen award for best performance, Morgan Rogers andKatie Service tied for Best Dressed, and Will Norry acquired the most money earning the Mr. Money Bags award. Each recipient received a Cookout milkshake of his/her choice.”
