7th graders presented their potential future careers at a recent All-School Assembly. As Confucius once said, “Choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life.” The Career Day Project began with students considering these wise words, and many students kept this in mind during the research process. Students have been considering their job prospects for adulthood. Students put a lot of thought and consideration into their career decisions; they were interested in not only salary and benefits their careers might offer, but also quality of life and the various challenges that may arise. Many students were interested in creation and innovation, both of which will serve them well in a future that is more driven by technology. Although these career choices may change in ten years, they have certainly gained insight into the many avenues open to them.
