Mrs. Palmer

In TK, Mrs. Palmer has been working with Mrs. Wallace as she helps foster a love for school with her calm and patient spirit in TKW.

Where were you on your teaching journey before joining us at TDS?
After volunteering countless hours at my children’s schools, I made the switch to being a teacher at a local preschool and loved it! Before coming to TDS, I taught at a local private school in both their preschool and elementary programs.

What is your favorite thing about TDS so far?
My favorite thing about TDS so far is how helpful, warm, and welcoming the community has been to me. I am so excited to get to know families, staff, and students over the school year!

Family and Pets?
I live in Durham with my husband, Greg, and we have three kiddos. We also have two dogs. One is a Wheaten Terrier/Poodle mix named Rosemary and the other is a three month old Labradoodle named Winston.

Hobbies and Interests?
Most of my free time is spent with my family. My husband and I are usually busy cheering on our kids for whatever activities they are up to! I love to hike and be outside. I also enjoy having family and friends over for relaxing, eating, and having fun together!

Favorite…
Food: I am gluten free, so I am always looking for local restaurants with yummy gluten free options.
Drink: I enjoy hot cacao mix in the morning and try to drink lots of water.
Movie: Any cheesy romantic comedy
Book: Mysteries and psychological thrillers are the best.
Song/Band/Album: I love most anything, but 70’s music always makes me happy.
Team: Minnesota Vikings because I am a Minnesota girl.

Fun Fact:
I come from a huge family and have over 50 cousins!
