Young Writer’s Tea

First Grade celebrated a year of writing with the Young Writers’ Tea.  Students did an amazing job sharing their works.  Each child wrote a book of Haikus and selected two of them to share with classmates and family members.  They shared paintings created to illustrate their writings.  Students also shared a major research project about animal habitats, which included written animal research booklets and animal habitat dioramas.  Afterwards, while enjoying refreshments, everyone had an opportunity to visit with friends and family.
